The Turks and Caicos Islands woke up on Sunday to second double murder in the community of Five Cays, following reports of a double murder on Saturday when two young men of the community were gunned down by unknown assailants.
The latest murder is said to be that of a man his his female companion. The police have not given motive for the latest killing, but residents gave reprisal as the reason.

The RTCIPF investigators have launched another double murder investigation following the killing of a male and female earlier this morning.
At 8.27 am today (September 04th, 2022), the Police Control Room received a call that a man was shot in the vicinity of The Office Bar.
Police Response Units and medical personnel were dispatched and found the lifeless body of a male victim lying face down with several gunshot wounds about the body.
While conducting a search on the property, officers found the motionless body of a female victim with gunshot wounds.
RTCIPF Major Crime Unit is continuing investigations.
