South Caicos Resident Remanded in Custody for Handling Stolen Goods

Demetrie Williams, aged 32, has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on Friday, March 15.

 Williams faces charges related to handling stolen goods stemming from an incident that occurred on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

According to reports from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in South Caicos where they discovered several items believed to be stolen. Following the discovery, Williams was promptly arrested and charged with two counts of handling stolen goods.

As the legal proceedings continue, Williams remains in custody pending further court appearances. He is slated to reappear in court on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, where further details of the case are expected to unfold.
