Sudden Death of South Caicos Man Under Investigation

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) has launched an investigation into the sudden death of a man discovered near a liquor store on St. Patrick Street in South Caicos on Sunday afternoon.
According to police reports, the Police Control Room received a call at approximately 1:50 p.m. on May 18, 2025, about a male lying motionless on the ground. Officers responded swiftly to the scene, where they were directed to the individual, later identified as David Clyde Williams, also known by the alias “Daedae”, age 50.
Mr. Williams was found lying face down and unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel attended to the scene shortly afterward and confirmed that there were no signs of life. A medical officer later pronounced him dead at approximately 2:20 p.m.
The area was immediately secured by police as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have stated that a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the official cause of death.
The case has been transferred to the RT&CIPF's Serious Crimes Unit for further investigation.
