Suspect Shot Dead in Gunfight with Police

One of three alleged gunmen who engaged the police in an exchange of gunfire on Friday, September 12, at Miracle Close, Blue Hills, Providenciales was shot and killed, while a manhunt has been launched for two others.

Miracles Close is the community that the police slain two gunmen in separate incidents about two weeks ago, one of whom was the county’s most wanted criminal, Andral Percival.

According to police reports, shortly after 1pm, officers responded to information regarding three suspicious males in the community.

Upon arrival the police confronted the men, who brandished guns and open fire. The police returned the fire and two of the men ran. However, the yet-to-be identified man was hit and fell on the scene.

Despite their best efforts, medical personnel who attended to him on the scene were unable to save his life. At present, the police are still combing the area for the two men who fled.
