TCI Airports Authority Temporarily Unable to Issue New NOTAMs Following External System Transition

The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority has announced that it is temporarily unable to issue new NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen) following what officials described as a recent external system transition.

In a public advisory issued Saturday, the authority said it does not expect any disruption to air traffic operations or safety-critical services despite the temporary issue.

NOTAMs are official notices used to alert pilots, airlines, and aviation stakeholders to important operational information, including runway closures, hazards, navigational changes, or other conditions that may affect flights.

The Airports Authority said operational updates continue to be communicated through established air traffic control channels where required. Officials also noted that all previously issued NOTAMs remain valid and can still be accessed through the Federal Aviation Administration NOTAM Search platform.

According to the advisory, the authority is working with regional and international partners to restore full NOTAM issuance capability as a priority. Normal service is expected to resume within the next 10 business days.

The TCIAA thanked aviation stakeholders for their understanding and said further updates will be provided as they become available.
