The spirit of service and unity was on full display last month as TCI-D9 (Turks and Caicos Divine Nine) came together to support families in need across the Turks and Caicos Islands.

On July 1, 2026, TCI-D9, led by President Kendrick Forbes, officially delivered more than $1,500 worth of diapers to the Department of Family and Children Services. The donation was made possible entirely through contributions raised within the organization, demonstrating the collective power of its members when united behind a common purpose.
From fundraising and donating to loading the truck, transporting the supplies, and unloading the boxes, members of TCI-D9 played an active role throughout the initiative.
The effort represents more than the delivery of much-needed supplies. It reflects TCI-D9’s commitment to community service and its desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families throughout the islands.
For an organization rooted in a long-standing tradition of leadership, scholarship, service, and community uplift, the initiative provided an opportunity to put those values into action locally.
TCI-D9 expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed financially, assisted with organizing and transporting the donation, and gave their time to help make the initiative a success.
The Turks and Caicos Divine Nine is comprised of members representing the nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations:
* Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
* Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
* Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
* Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
* Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
* Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
* Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
* Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
* Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
Together, the organizations represent a powerful legacy of service and collective action. Through TCI-D9, that legacy continues to take root in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The July donation was an important first step in TCI-D9’s ongoing community-service efforts. As the organization continues to grow, its members remain committed to identifying opportunities to serve, uplift families, and strengthen the wider community.
More than $1,500 in diapers. Nine organizations. One united mission—and a whole lot of heart.
For TCI-D9, the message is simple: service is not just something we talk about; it is something we do.
