The Griffiths and Partners team are delighted to announce that the first donation of $19,000.00 to the Diabetic association was handed over on Friday May 5th to the association’s chair, Nurse Elaine Clare.
The funds raised are as a result of a two-year charity partnership set up with the Diabetic Association after a popular staff vote by the 30 strong G&P team to choose the association as their preferred charity partner for two years.
Nurse Clare said: “We are delighted with and deeply appreciative of this donation. The G&P group has energetically partnered with us in a range of charitable activities, and to have raised so much money in such a short time has been a wonderful experience. We are very grateful to the partners of G&P for agreeing to match all funds raised by their staff, and we look forward to the second half of 2023 being at least as productive.
"Please contact us or G&P if you would like to help raise funds for the Diabetic Association. Now more than ever we urgently need funds to help existing patients, and to educate the people of these islands about how the disease can be prevented and managed. These funds will make a huge difference to our capability and effectiveness but be in no doubt. We need more resources now than ever.”
David Stewart said: “The Charity committee of G&P is a dedicated and energetic team, and we are so pleased to have worked with the Diabetic Association in this charity partnership. We have many more fund-raising events planned for this year and next, and we will be asking for more help from our network of clients, family and friends to maximise the funds we raise for this very deserving cause.”
The G&P group is the largest professional services team in the Turks and Caicos Islands, comprising the G&P law firm, the 45-year-old Coriats Trust Company, alongside corporate management and fund admin and management teams.
