TCI Top Model Commercial Acting Workshop Empowers Performers For Broadcast Success

Mrs. Levenia Bishop’s ‘Commercial Acting Workshop: On Camera & Radio’ delivered an intensive, hands-on training experience designed to fast-track performers toward submission-ready reads for commercials, self-tapes, auditions, and radio spots.

The workshop emphasised clear, confident, and compelling delivery that reads equally well for sight and sound, giving models practical tools they could use immediately.

The workshop combined technique, practice, and real-time direction across core commercial performance areas. Line learning sessions taught beat breakdowns, anchor-word strategies, and record-and-listen routines to lock down reliable choices.

Delivery work focused on defining objectives and subtexts, practising active listening, and cultivating honest micro-reactions to create authentic connections on camera and microphone. Voice basics, tone selection, pacing, breath control, and articulation were reinforced to ensure broadcast clarity and versatility.

On-camera training covered micro-expressions, eye intent, framing and self-tape setup, and continuity practices so performers could present consistent, camera-ready work. Radio-focused sessions introduced basic mic techniques, vocal colour, and natural phrasing to help participants craft compelling audio-only reads. Mrs. Bishop also assigned practical in-session exercises that participants practised; these were well received and acted out, showing measurable improvements in delivery.

Throughout, emphasis was placed on making bold, specific choices quickly under direction, an essential skill for fast-paced casting rooms and tight production schedules. The workshop equipped attendees to produce polished self-tapes, improve vocal control, streamline script-breakdown methods, and heighten on-camera presence, with the intention that they gain confidence, audition efficiency, and the ability to convey brand intent with authenticity and purpose.

“Great commercial acting is equal parts clarity and truth; you must move an audience in seconds while honouring the brand,” said Mrs. Levenia Bishop, Founder, Director, and CEO, People Management & Development Consultant. “This workshop gave performers practical tools and repeatable exercises so they can make precise, emotionally honest choices on cue and deliver submission-ready reads every time.”

“The concept behind this workshop is to bridge classroom technique with real‑world commercial demands, giving emerging talent the tools to make bold, precise choices on cue and leave truly industry‑ready for auditions, self‑tapes, and broadcast work,” said Courtney Robinson, Founder and Executive Producer, TCI Top Model.

“At TCI Top Model we’re committed to providing actionable training and candid feedback, so every participant walks away confident, prepared, and able to compete in today’s commercial market.”
