The Legacy Summit 2026 Ignites Powerful Conversations on Wealth, Investing, and Financial Empowerment

The Legacy Summit 2026, held under the theme “Building Wealth by Design,” delivered two powerful days of dialogue, inspiration, and practical insight into wealth creation, financial empowerment, and long-term legacy building in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The summit began on March 6, 2026, with an exclusive Legacy Summit MasterClass at On Island in Grace Bay, where a select group of attendees participated in an intimate and highly interactive session with global financial leader Thasunda Brown Duckett, President and CEO of TIAA.

Unlike a traditional lecture, the Masterclass created a dynamic environment where participants were able to engage directly with Duckett through meaningful conversation and one-on-one exchanges. Attendees explored topics ranging from leadership and financial decision-making to building long-term financial security and navigating opportunities in today’s economic landscape.

The following day, March 7, the summit’s main event took place at The Shore Club Ballroom, drawing professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders from across the islands for a day dedicated to advancing financial literacy and strategic wealth building.

The morning kicked of with the official opening ceremony and a highly anticipated Keynote Conversation with Duckett, who delivered a compelling message on financial independence, leadership, and the importance of intentional wealth creation.

Throughout her remarks, Duckett emphasized the power of financial education, disciplined investing, and creating opportunities that extend beyond individual success to build stronger families and communities.

The summit’s agenda featured two strategic panel sessions that explored practical pathways to building wealth within the Turks and Caicos context.

The first panel, “Property to Portfolio: Building Real Wealth Through Real Estate,” examined how property ownership can evolve into long-term portfolio strategy. Panelists Ian Hurdle, Walter Gardiner, and Kyle Smith, moderated by Sophia Thomas, shared insights on leveraging real estate as a wealth-building asset, managing risk, and transitioning from single property ownership to structured investment portfolios.

Following a networking lunch, the summit continued with “Beyond the Basics: Smarter Investing for Long-Term Wealth in the Turks and Caicos.” Panelists Diandra Mills, Samuel Dormeus, Brenesha Cox-Lightbourne, and Garrett Bathgate discussed how individuals can move beyond saving to build diversified investment portfolios that support long-term financial growth and generational wealth.

A special Legacy Spotlight segment also celebrated the entrepreneurial journey of Island Organics founders Arlene Hall and Kishanta Hall Comert, highlighting the power of family businesses and local entrepreneurship in shaping lasting legacy within the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The summit concluded with a powerful Closing Fireside Keynote by Dr. Nelson “Chris” Stokes, who challenged attendees to think boldly about scaling opportunity, building sustainable systems of wealth, and strengthening the economic future of the Caribbean.
