The Retreat Turks & Caicos to Open October 1 Near Grace Bay Beach
The Retreat Turks & Caicos will officially open its doors on October 1, introducing an intimate new hotel for travelers seeking a more personal and independent way to experience Providenciales.
Located in the heart of Grace Bay, The Retreat places guests within walking distance of world-renowned Grace Bay Beach, as well as many of the island's most popular restaurants, bars and boutiques. Its central location and thoughtfully considered services allow guests to explore the destination at their own pace while returning to a calm, contemporary setting at the end of each day.
“The Retreat is designed for guests who want to feel connected to Turks and Caicos rather than removed from it,” said Layvern Daniel, hotel manager of The Retreat Turks & Caicos. “Our team will provide thoughtful local guidance and take care of the details, allowing each guest to experience Providenciales in a way that feels personal, effortless and entirely their own.”
Daniel was appointed hotel manager in June 2026 and brings more than 12 years of Caribbean hospitality experience spanning hotel and resort operations, guest relations, concierge services, sales and reservations. She was named a Manager of the Year in 2025 and selected to participate in the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's Young Leaders Forum for 2025–2026.
Complimentary bicycles allow guests to explore the surrounding Grace Bay neighborhood. At the beach, complimentary chairs and umbrellas are provided, together with buggy transportation. The hotel's concierge can also arrange boating excursions, paddleboarding, diving and other personalized island experiences.
Intentionally limited to 24 rooms, The Retreat is arranged around a central garden and features a swimming pool and hot tub, guest lounge, fitness center and 24-hour front desk.
Accommodations are available in Standard and Superior King and Twin configurations. Connecting rooms offer additional flexibility for families and guests traveling together, while accessible accommodations are also available.
Guest rooms combine warm natural textures with solid-timber cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops and Kohler fixtures. Each room features a spacious walk-in shower, mini-refrigerator and private patio or balcony, creating a relaxed and well-appointed residential atmosphere.
A light continental breakfast offering is included. Introductory rates begin at $290 per night.
