Top-Level Investigation Launched into Devastating Five Cays Fire

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) has launched a top-level investigation into the cause of a fire that destroyed several structures in the Five Cays area earlier today.

Just after 2:45 PM, police officers responded to reports of a fire behind Liz Bakery in Five Cays, Providenciales. Upon arrival, they found multiple wooden structures and vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Challenging wind conditions made efforts to contain the blaze difficult, prompting officers to swiftly evacuate the area to ensure public safety. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The fire has since been brought under control, but police and fire officials remain on the scene as investigations continue. The RT&CIPF is working closely with fire services to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
