Undocumented Haitian National Charged with Attempted Murder

Junior Belizaire

An undocumented Haitian national has been charged following a brutal attack that left a 26-year-old man seriously injured.


Junior Belizaire, 24, of The Bight, is expected to appear before a Magistrate later this week. He faces the following charges:

  • One count of Attempted Murder

  • One count of Unlawful Entry


Belizaire was officially charged on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The charges relate to a violent incident that occurred on the evening of April 21, 2025, during which the victim suffered multiple chop wounds to the head and body.


The victim was found bleeding and rushed to Cheshire Hall Medical Centre (CHMC) for emergency care. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later flown overseas for advanced medical treatment. His condition has been reported as stable.


Following an intensive investigation, the Serious Crime Unit identified Belizaire as the alleged assailant.
