United Way Turks and Caicos to Launch Book Mobile Fundraising Campaign

United Way Turks & Caicos is set to host the official launch of its Book Mobile fundraising campaign on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club.

The event marks a significant step in the organization’s continued commitment to advancing literacy and expanding educational access across the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Under the theme of “turning the page toward a brighter future for literacy,” the initiative aims to raise funds for a Mobile Library designed to bring books, imagination, and learning opportunities directly to children and families, particularly those in underserved communities.

According to the organization, the Book Mobile will serve as a traveling hub of educational resources, ensuring that young readers throughout the islands have greater access to books and literacy support services. The project is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening reading skills, encouraging a love for literature, and supporting long-term academic success.

The February 28 launch event will formally introduce the fundraising campaign and outline plans for the Mobile Library’s rollout. Community leaders, partners, and supporters are expected to attend in support of the literacy-focused initiative.

Persons interested in attending the launch are asked to RSVP to Claudine Ewing via email at claudine.ewing@unitedwaytci.com.
