Minister of Public Safety and Utilities and Member of Parliament for the Wheeland Constituency Hon. Kyle Knowles staged a Post-Budget Townhall Meeting at the Healing Waters Ministries Church in the constituency on Thursday, May 2, to update his constituency on a number of issues including progress of the Providenciales Landfill (which is situated in that locale), as well as the infrastructure development earmarked for the general area.
Among the speakers at the event were Hon. Jamell Robinson, Minister of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development; Hon. Rachel Taylor, Minister of Education, Youth, Sport and Social Services; Hon. Shaun Malcolm, Minister of Health and Human Services; and Kenya Jones, Deputy Chief Environmental Officer with the Department of Environmental Health.
Also, in attendance was At-Large Member of Parliament and former Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Hon. E. Jay Saunders. Residents from the area got the chance to ask questions and made suggestions to the host minister and his guests.
