3-Day Inter-Primary School Track and Field Starts Today at National Stadium

Ona Glinton Primary School has become a powerhouse in Turks and Caicos youth athletics, earning its reputation as the team to beat after winning four straight Inter-Primary Track and Field championships in a row, and going for the fifth.
Known for their speed, strategy, and school spirit, the Acasia Downer-coached Ona Glinton enter this year’s championships with a target on their backs. But with hungry challengers lining up from all corners of the islands, the real question is: Will Ona Glinton be dethroned?
The highly anticipated TCISS Inter-Primary School Track and Field Championships officially kicked off today at the National Stadium in Providenciales. Spanning three exciting days through April 4, this year’s event has brought together 22 primary schools from across the Turks and Caicos Islands, promising fierce competition, school pride, and unforgettable moments.
From lightning-fast sprints to high-flying long jumps, the young athletes will showcase their dedication, training, and raw talent in front of packed stands filled with cheering classmates and proud parents. With schools like Adelaide Oemler Primary, Enid Capron Primary, and Ianthe Pratt Primary all fielding strong teams, the race to the podium is wide open—and the battle for the championship is just beginning.
