Women In Sports (WIS) celebrated its 11th anniversary on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, and that body will be marking the event with thanksgiving this Sunday, April 14 in Providenciales and the country’s capital Grand Turk.
The Grand Turk Church Service will be held at the St Mary's Pro Cathedral starting at at 9am, and in Providenciales the event will be held at the Jericho Baptist, starting at 10.
Women in Sports in headed by the dynamic Rita Gardiner, Ombudsman for the Turks and Caicos Islands Complaints Commission. Recently, the WIS assisted both the Carifta Track and Field and the Swim Teams to the games that were held in Grenada and The Bahama respectively during Easter.
