Akierra Missick to Headline 4th Annual Teen Girls Community Awareness Summit 2026

Former Deputy Premier and former Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Akierrra Missick is set to headline the 4th Annual Teen Girls Community Awareness Summit 2026, an event aimed at empowering young women and inspiring the next generation of female leaders.

The free event, designed for girls ages 14 to 20, will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 12 noon at the Ritz Carlton Ballroom in Grace Bay, Providenciales. Organizers have adopted the theme: “Empowered Girls, Limitless Futures.”

 

Missick, who has long been recognized for her work in leadership, governance, youth advocacy and community development throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands, will deliver a featured presentation titled “Empowered to Lead: Breaking Barriers for the Next Generation of Young Women.”

 

 Missick is scheduled to share insights on leadership, resilience and overcoming challenges, encouraging young women to pursue excellence and lead with confidence and purpose.

 

The summit’s lineup also features keynote speaker Dr. Ruth Plummer, CEO of Covenant Daughters TV Network, who will address participants on “Faith, Purpose & Influence: Empowering Girls to Walk Boldly in Their Calling.”

 

Additional presenters include entrepreneur Cyprianna Jalesa Jackson, whose presentation “Boss Mindset: Building Confidence, Creativity & Success as a Young Woman” will focus on confidence-building and entrepreneurship, and entrepreneur, radio personality and girls’ advocate Dr. Cutella Talbot, who will discuss “Empowering Girls Through Media & Leadership.”

 

The event is organized by Amani Youth Foundation and Star Productions, which Talbot is the head. She announced that the annual occasion seeks to create a platform where teenage girls can gain practical guidance, motivation and tools needed to build confidence, discover purpose and develop leadership skills.

 

The summit will also be streamed live on 88.5 FM The Beat Radio and CDTV.
