Beaches FC and Teachers FC played to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the third game of Provo Premier League’s 2022/2023 season on Sunday, November 6, at the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Field off Venetian Road, under rainy sky.

Both teams had a player scoring a brace. Beaches number 9 player Shannon Brown got a double for his team, while Jean Innocent got his team’s double.

Referee Wilkins Martin shows the red card to the Beaches goalkeeper after he tripped a Teachers Forward at the edge of the penalty box.

Beaches wasted no time to seize the ascendancy, as in the first minute of play, Brown shot past the Teachers’ goalkeeper Robens Jean Antenor. Brown completed the double in the 13th minute of play when he drilled one past Antenor.

Brian Gregg snared the first hattrick of the season

Teachers, however, pressed to get back in the game, and their quest was answered in the 31st minute when Innocent shot past the Beaches goalkeeper. Five minutes later Innocent struck again in the 45th minute from a goalmouth melee, which he slotted home, to make the game even.

Teachers then grabbed the lead six minutes later, when Ismael Athis shot past the keeper. Undaunted by going behind, Beaches pressed for the equalizer, and could have gotten it earlier, but their relentless attacks were wasted in the final third.

They however, got the equalizer when Alexis Solomon squeezed one past the goalkeeper from a delightful cross from the right flank.
