The spotlight will shine brightly on local hospitality professionals as Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort gears up to host its highly anticipated 2025 Prestige Awards.

This annual event will feature the resort’s expansive French Village main stage, transformed for a gala celebrating more than 120 team members who were monthly winners in 2025. The theme “One Team, One Vision, Endless Achievements,” aims to recognize the critical role these employees play in driving the region’s vital tourism sector while enriching local communities.
The Prestige Awards serve as a hallmark event for the resort, moving beyond standard corporate recognition to highlight the personal dedication of the individuals who bring the Beaches brand to life.
General Manager Deryk Meany emphasized that the honourees represent the absolute best of the resort’s workforce, noting their willingness to go above and beyond everyday duties.

“All of these team members are stars who have championed the cause in representing the culture of the Beaches brand to our guests,” Meany said. “They have volunteered in community projects through the Earth Guardians and the Sandals Foundation areas, as well as providing world-class services to our internal and external guests.”Meany’s comments highlight a dual focus that the resort has cultivated since inception: delivering exceptional vacation experiences while maintaining robust corporate social responsibility. The awardees are frequently found spearheading environmental clean-ups or mentoring youth, proving that their commitment to the Turks and Caicos Islands extends far past the resort’s property lines.Human Resources Manager Owenta Coleby praised the awardees as remarkable leaders who have set an undeniable standard for their peers. According to Coleby, the authenticity of their service has left a lasting footprint. “This cadre of winners has distinguished themselves as extraordinary leaders,” Coleby noted. “Many have become household names, especially for our loyal returning guests who look forward to interacting with them each time they return.”This strong bond between team members and returning visitors remains a cornerstone of the resort’s continued success. By fostering genuine relationships, these 120 professionals help transform a simple Caribbean vacation into a homecoming for thousands of families each year.

“This year’s event will also serve as change of guard for me where I will continue to share with other leaders in my mentorship sessions, while marking the end of the reign for 2024 Diamond Team Member of the Year,” noted Joey Echavez. Taking home the resort’s top honour last year, Echavez utilized his platform to drive local philanthropy, an experience he describes as deeply fulfilling.“As my year of reign comes to an end, I am happy to continue giving back to the communities of the Turks and Caicos Islands while providing mentorship to the person who will be recognised as Diamond Team Member of the Year,” Echavez shared ahead of the handover. “I have done and continue to be involved in multiple projects with the Sandals Foundation, and this has allowed me to give back in a meaningful way to the communities that we serve.
The upcoming Annual Prestige Awards will continue to stand as a testament to the hard work, community spirit and endless achievements of the men and women who keep the hospitality heart of the Turks and Caicos Islands beating strong.
