Billy Forbes Double Strike Sinks Bonaire 2-1 In Concacaf Nations League

A double first strike by captain Billy Forbes carried the Turks and Caicos Islands to a 2-1 win over host country Bonaire in the last group match of the Concacaf Nations League on Tuesday night.


it was sweet revenge for the Turks and Caicos Islands, who went down 1-4 to Bonaire in first encounter at home on June 3, 2022.


Forbes scored for the visitors in the 17th and 40th minute of the game, allowing his country to come away the remarkable win. The win was the second on the trot for the Turks and Caicos Islands, having dispatched bottom place US Virgin Islands at home last Saturday, March 26.


The Turks and Caicos Islands ended the tournament on nine points, two points adrift of leaders Sint Maarten - 11, and one point behind Bonaire, who finished the group stage on 10 points. The US Virgin Islands finished on five points.
