Several resource individuals converged at the New Testament Church of God in Blue Hills to impart their knowledge and expertise to male students across Providenciales in what is dubbed “Zones of Impact & Boys’ Focus Day”.

The event was also held in the country's capital Grand Turk. Not only did they get the opportunity to soak up the rich messages being imparted to them, but also got to participate in asking questions and state their own opinions.

Minister of Education Hon. Rachel Taylor described the event as meaningful and purpose-driven,  which she said was intentionally designed to help our young boys discover their Purpose. The day featured a diverse lineup of inspirational speakers, young men from all walks of life who shared powerful stories and words of encouragement.

Among the keynote speakers was Mr. Jaron Harvey, Director of Rehabilitation, who introduced the upcoming Junior Prevention Intervention Council (JPIC). Set to launch this October, JPIC aims to support the holistic development of our most vulnerable boys, offering structured guidance, mentorship, and resources.

Minister Taylor pointed out that the Department of Youth Affairs will further deepen its outreach with the launch of Zones of Impact, a collaborative initiative with our partners in education. This strategic program will actively engage and support at-risk boys in their own communities, ensuring no one is left behind.

"Together, through initiatives like JPIC and Zones of Impact, we are making a deliberate and assertive effort to uplift, empower, and transform the lives of our young men, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive," Taylor noted.
