Chief Dental Surgeon Dr Janice Baron Inducted as Fellow of the International College of Dentists

The Ministry of Health and Human Services is congratulating Dr Janice Baron, Chief Dental Surgeon, on her induction as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists during the College’s recent Convocation Ceremony in Kingston, Jamaica.

Fellowship in the International College of Dentists is one of the highest honours bestowed within the dental profession. Established in 1920, the College is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious honorary dental organisations. Fellowship is conferred upon dentists who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement, leadership, humanitarian service and meaningful contributions to the advancement of dentistry and the communities they serve.

Dr Baron’s induction recognises her longstanding commitment to excellence in oral healthcare and her dedicated service to the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands. In her capacity as Chief Dental Surgeon, she has championed preventive oral health initiatives and played a significant role in strengthening the delivery of public dental services throughout the Islands.

Dr Baron also serves as a member of the Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Professions Council of the Turks and Caicos Islands, where she contributes to the continued development and regulation of the dental profession locally, regionally and internationally.

Minister of Health and Human Services, Hon. Kyle Knowles, commended Dr Baron on this distinguished achievement, stating:
