Clement Howell are High School Basketball Champs

Clement Howell High School are the champions of the Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission (𝐓𝐂𝐈𝐒𝐒) Inter-High School Basketball Championship played on Saturday, February 4, at the Gustarvus Lightbourne Sports Complex in Providenciales.


It was an emphatic win for Clement Howell, who truly outclassed the Louise Garland Thomas High School 92 to 58.

In the third-place playoff earlier, HJ Robinson High School out of Grand Turk, defeated Alpha Christian Academy out of Providenciales.


Clement Howell never went behind in the game, as a matter of fact, they maintained a healthy lead from the end of the second quarter onward.


John Cesar collect his trophy for scoring the tournament’s Most Points

At the end of the first quarter Clement Howell led LGTH 22 to 18. At the end of the second quarter they scored 21 points to LGTH 14, to widen the lead 43 to 35. Clement Howell went into high gear in the third round, and at the end of it, scoring 28 points to LGTH 17, to end that stanza 71 to 52.

Kelvin Talbot collected the trophies for recording Most Rebounds and Most Blocks from Sports Commission Director Jarett Forbes.

In the final quarter, the champions mirrored the second quarter, scoring 21 points, while limiting their opponents to scoring just 7 points, for the blowout win.


Malachi Missick of Alpha Christian Academy walked away with two awards - Most Steals and Most Assists.

Isais Sejour finished with a game high 25 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, five steals, four assist and three shot blocks. His teammate John Cesar shot 23 points, committed nine steals, six assists and five rebounds.



For Louise Garland Thomas, Dylan Morris ended the game with 15 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. His teammate, Deny Soymera shot 14 points, grabbed three rebounds and made one assist.


Clement High also dominated the awards ceremony, walking away with four awards. Isais Sejour was voted the Championship MVP. Kelvin Talbot collected the trophies for recording Most Rebounds and Most Blocks, while John Cesar collect his trophy for scoring the tournament’s Most Points.

HJ Robinson High collects their third place trophy from Deputy Governor Her Excellency Anya Williams.
