Grace Bay Resorts Foundation Champions Reef Conservation with $32,500 Donation

The Grace Bay Resorts Foundation has committed a $32,500 donation to the Turks & Caicos Reef Fund (TCRF) to support the purchase of a new engine for their research and conservation vessel, Reef saver. The previous engine failure had temporarily halted critical fieldwork, making this upgrade essential to the continuation of TCRF’s vital marine conservation efforts.

“Grace Bay Resorts is deeply committed to supporting environmental conservation across the Turks and Caicos Islands,” said Jessica Frattolillo. “The work carried out by the Turks & Caicos Reef Fund is critical to preserving our marine ecosystems, and we are proud to support their efforts in a meaningful and impactful way.”

We are so grateful for the support given by Grace Bay Resorts Foundation. Our conservation work which includes maintaining in-water coral nurseries, installing and maintaining dive and snorkel moorings and conducting reef health surveys can not happen without a functional work vessel. We are now back up and running and the Reefsaver is running better than ever!”

With the new engine now in place, TCRF can resume and expand its field operations, from reef monitoring and restoration projects to ongoing research and educational outreach. Guests at Grace Bay Resorts are also invited to engage directly with these conservation efforts through guided visits to the TCRF office, offering a firsthand look at the organization’s dedication to protecting the islands’ vibrant marine environment.
