The Jaguars continued to demonstrate why they are among the most balanced sides in the Turks and Caicos Islands Cricket Association 2025/2026 season, securing a confident five-wicket victory over GK Foods on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Downtown Ball Park.

The match, played under bright skies and in front of an enthusiastic weekend crowd, showcased both the growing competitiveness of the league and the rising talent emerging across the islands.
GK Foods won the toss and chose to bat first, but their innings never gained the stability they would have hoped for. The Jaguars’ bowling attack struck early and maintained pressure throughout, restricting GK Foods to 65 for 9 from their allotted 11 overs. The top order collapsed quickly, with several batsmen falling in single digits as Jaguars bowlers targeted the stumps relentlessly.
Only Nagarajan Kuthakingam and Mathan Selvakumar provided meaningful resistance. Kuthakingam scored a spirited 15 off 11 deliveries, hitting two boundaries to momentarily lift the scoring rate. Selvakumar remained unbeaten on 15 from just 8 balls, showing excellent composure despite the mounting pressure at the other end. However, with little support and no sustained partnerships, GK Foods’ total remained well below par.
The bowling performance of the day came from Jaguars’ all-rounder Quacy Paddy, who tore through GK Foods’ middle order with figures of 4 wickets for 25 runs. His spell shifted the momentum strongly in favour of the Jaguars and prevented GK Foods from posting a more challenging target. He was well supported by Daniel Bourne, who claimed 2 for 17, and Sheldon Phillips, who bowled tightly for 1 for 11.
Chasing 66 for victory, the Jaguars approached the target with a mix of caution and controlled aggression. Although they lost Lesson Payne early for 8, the team never looked in trouble. Trevon Garraway anchored the innings with a steady 19 from 20 balls, rotating the strike effectively and allowing his partners to play freely.
The real acceleration came from Kedar Amsterdam, whose explosive knock of 15 off 5 deliveries, which included two boundaries and a towering six, turned the chase into a formality. His quick scoring left GK Foods’ bowlers with little room to recover. Appropriately, it was Quacy Paddy who sealed the match, finishing unbeaten on 10 off 4 balls to guide his team comfortably past the target. His outstanding all-round contribution earned him the Man of the Match award.
Cricket Continues Its Growth in Turks and Caicos
This season also marks continued expansion within the national competition. The newly formed Red Strikers have joined the lineup, adding fresh excitement to a league that already includes Omar’s, Aircool Knight Riders, Kisco Cricket Team, GK Foods, Beaches Cricket Team, the Jaguars, and Police.
With new clubs emerging and competition intensifying, cricket in the Turks and Caicos Islands is clearly on an upward trajectory.
