Month-long TCIFA Inter-Secondary School Football Champs starts October 1



The Females will also have their own league

The 2022 renewal of the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Inter-Secondary School Football Championships kicks off on October one at the National Stadium and the TCIFA Field.


This year’s competition will have separate boys’ and girls’ team. The eight school which will compete in this year’s competition are defending champions Clement Howell High, Elite High School, Wesley Methodist High, British West Indies Collegiate and Louise Garland Thomas High from Providenciales; Marjorie Basden High from South Caicos, Raymond Gardiner High out of North Caicos, and the HJ Robinson High out of the country’s capital Grand Turk.


Four matches will kick off the championships. At 11a.m. at the National Stadium, Clement Howell High will face-off against the Louise Garland Thomas High in Boys competition. Simultaneously, the Marjorie Basden High School will go up against the Clement Howell High School in the Girls category.


Over at the TCIFA Field, Marjorie Basden High will do battle against Elite High in the Boys segment, while in the girls’ category, British West Indies Collegiate will take on Elite High.


At 12p.m., West Methodist High will go up against British West Indies Collegiate and Raymond Gardiner High battling HJ Robinson High in the boy segment at the TCIFA Field.


At 1p.m. at the National Stadium, Louise Garland Thomas High will mount rivalry against the Marjorie Basden High and the Clement Howell High School going up against British West Indies Collegiate in the girls’ division.


In the boys’ segment at 1p.m., at the TCIFA Field, Clement Howell High, will tackle Marjorie Basden High, while British West Indies Collegiate face-off against HJ Robinson High.


The day’s slate of matches will conclude with the 2p.m. games in the boys’ division. In one game, Wesley Methodist High are slated to tackle Raymond Gardiner High, while Louise Garland Thomas High will face Elite High.

The competition will run until October 29.
