National Honours and Awards Committee Reopens 2026 Nominations

In 2026, the Turks and Caicos Islands celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Ministerial Government—a once-in-a-generation milestone of profound historical significance that deserves extraordinary national recognition.

As part of the national commemorations, the Turks and Caicos Islands Government has mandated the National Honours and Awards Committee to play an integral role in recognising those individuals whose service has helped shape our nation over the past five decades.

In the spirit of unity and celebration during this Golden Jubilee year, a unique opportunity has been created to honour a greater number of citizens whose leadership, service, sacrifice and achievements have contributed significantly to the development of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

To mark this historic occasion, there will be a temporary increase in the number of recipients in the following three award categories:

·      The Order of the Turks and Caicos Islands Award

·      The Patriotic Award

·      The Meritorious Award

This increase reflects the exceptional historical significance of the nation's 50th Anniversary of Ministerial Government and provides an opportunity to recognise a broader cross-section of individuals whose contributions have strengthened and advanced the Turks and Caicos Islands.

As part of the national celebrations, the National Honours and Awards Committee is pleased to announce the reopening of the public nomination process to encourage wider public participation in recognising deserving citizens.

Nominations will now be accepted from Tuesday, 28 July 2026, until Monday, 17 August 2026.

Members of the public are encouraged to nominate individuals whose outstanding service, dedication and achievements have made a meaningful impact on their communities and the nation.

Nomination forms are available online at www.tcinationalhonoursandawards.com and can also be obtained from any District Commissioner's Office in Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos, or from the Office of the Premier and Public Policy in Grand Turk and Providenciales.

All nominations should be accompanied by supporting documentation, as this will carry significant weight during the Committee's deliberations. For online submissions, supporting documents may be uploaded in PDF format (maximum file size of 25 MB). Physical nominations should include all supporting documentation in a sealed envelope clearly marked "National Honours and Awards Committee" and addressed to the Office of the Premier and Public Policy in either Grand Turk or Providenciales.
