The Governor’s Office invites members of the public across the Turks and Caicos Islands to submit nominations for the 2027 New Year Honours, now open until Sunday 3 May 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

The Honours system provides an important opportunity to recognise individuals who have made exceptional contributions to life in the Turks and Caicos Islands. From community leaders and volunteers to professionals across public and private sectors, the awards celebrate those whose service, leadership and sustained commitment have positively impacted others and strengthened communities across the Islands.
Her Excellency the Governor, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, said:
“The Honours system remains one of the most meaningful ways in which we recognise individuals who make exceptional and lasting contributions to our society. Across the Turks and Caicos Islands, there are people whose dedication, integrity and commitment continue to shape lives and build stronger communities, often without public recognition. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to nominate those whose service and impact deserve to be acknowledged at the highest level.”
Nominations are open to individuals from all walks of life, including those involved in voluntary, charitable, cultural, civic and professional work. Anyone can nominate and members of the public are encouraged to put forward individuals whose contributions may otherwise go unrecognised.
To support the submission of high-quality nominations, members of the public are encouraged to ensure that applications clearly articulate the nominee’s contribution, impact and significance to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
