American Airlines Passengers Stranded at Provo Airport

Newsline TCI can report that an American Airlines flight scheduled to depart from the Howard Hamilton International Airport in Providenciales at 11 a.m. on Thursday remained on the tarmac until almost 3 p.m. At that time, the crew informed passengers that the flight would not be departing that day.

The packed flight left passengers furious and frustrated as the airline provided no information about the delay or the reasons for the lengthy wait. Even as they were ordered to disembark, no explanations were given for the situation.

Passengers were instructed to rebook their flights, though it remains unclear whether another flight will be arranged for the same day. The passengers believe it is unlikely that a replacement flight will be available.
