Police Launch Investigation into Body Discovered in Missing Person Case

The body was discovered at approximately 12:43 PM by a search party consisting of police officers, members of the TCI Regiment, and concerned relatives and friends. It was found concealed in a bushy area near the roadside, prompting immediate action by law enforcement.

While formal identification and the results of an autopsy are still pending, the RT&CIPF is treating the discovery as part of a potentially suspicious death investigation.

“This is a tragic development, and our priority now is to determine the circumstances that led to Mr. Forbes’ disappearance and death,” a spokesperson for the RT&CIPF said. “We are urging anyone who may have seen Mr. Forbes recently or noticed any unusual activity in the Academy Way area to come forward.”

The police have appealed to the public for assistance, emphasizing that even seemingly minor information could prove critical to the ongoing investigation.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr. Forbes during this painful time,” the spokesperson added. “We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 911 or reach out to the nearest police station. Tips can be provided anonymously.

The investigation remains active, and updates will be released as new details emerge.
