The active COVID-19 infection number in the Turks and Caicos Islands has climbed to 70, with 12 new recorded infection cases on Thursday.
The latest number pushes the total infection total since the biggening of the pandemic to 2,558. However, there has been 2,462 recoveries, with one being recorded over the past 24 hours.
The Turks and Caicos Islands has so far recorded 28,159 testing, with 25,601 returning negative. A total of 199,530 antigen tests have been carried out since testing began, with 1,547 recorded over the past 24 hours.
Of the reported infections there has been no hospitalization. One COVID-related death was recorded earlier this week, inching the total deaths to 19.
