Public Shower Police With Praise After Most Wanted Man’s Death

Members of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) are coming in for ton loads of praises after cutting down a man regarded as the country’s most notorious criminal - Brandon Leonardo Rahming.

Rahming was shot to death after allegedly engaging the police in a shootout in his Dock Yard haven.

The jubilation that Rahming, 32, has been taken out was so telling that one post even called for a public holiday. Rahming’s notoriety drove fear into citizens across Providenciales, many of whom had discontinued their nocturnal activities for fear of running into him.

The wanted man, who challenged members of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force to a gunbattle while they were on operation in the tough Dock Yard community, was shot and later pronounced dead on the scene. A second man, said to have been in the company of the wanted man, was arrested by the police.

Rahming had been fingered in a hatful of murders across Providenciales, including a recent triple slaying Dock Yard of a father, his pregnant companion and their male child said to be about four years old.

One of the posts read: “Excellent work to the brave men and women of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force. we salute you. Send a clear message to all the other so call (sic) killers. “

Another post read: “Let this be a warning to all the so call {sic) murderers out there.” Other posts just simply said: “Congratulations.”

According to police sources, Rahming was looking to establish himself as the drug kingpin of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

A voice note that the police has attributed to the vicious gunman, purportedly heard him instructing an overseas drug dealer that he was entitled to 30 percent proceeds of all imported drugs, warning that those who defied him would not only put themselves in danger, but their families as wells. He asserted that that he was operating under a “one order” regime.

The police, in a news release said an illegal gun was taken from Rahming’s body after the shootout.

In the meantime, NewlineTCI has been informed that following the wanted man’s death, a tense calm has blanketed the Dock Yard community, as the police maintain a high presence in the area.
