Awarded following an independent third-party audit, Green Key Certification recognizes hotels and resorts that meet rigorous international standards for environmental responsibility while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The achievement reflects Rock House's ongoing efforts to protect the natural beauty of the Turks and Caicos Islands through responsible operations, resource conservation, and sustainable guest initiatives.

"Receiving Green Key Certification is an important milestone for Rock House and a testament to our team's dedication to responsible luxury hospitality," said Nikheel Advani, COO and Co-Founder of Grace Bay Resorts. "From the earliest stages of the resort's development, sustainability was integrated into the property's design and construction. This recognition reinforces our commitment to preserving the extraordinary environment that makes the Turks and Caicos Islands such a remarkable place to live and visit, while continuing to deliver the elevated service and thoughtful design our guests expect."

Rock House has introduced a number of sustainability initiatives that support the long-term protection of the islands' natural resources, including:

  • Grey water harvesting systems that help conserve one of the country's most valuable resources—fresh water.

  • A "Refill, No Landfill" program featuring complimentary reusable water bottles and filtered water stations throughout the resort, significantly reducing single-use plastics.

  • PVC-free materials across the property, including sustainable bamboo guest key cards.

  • Ongoing operational practices focused on reducing environmental impact while enhancing the guest experience.

Thoughtfully designed to blend with the dramatic limestone coastline of Providenciales, Rock House demonstrates how luxury development can complement and protect the surrounding environment. From its architecture and landscaping to its day-to-day operations, sustainability remains central to the resort's vision.

Green Key, coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), is one of the world's leading eco-certification programs for the hospitality industry. The certification recognizes properties that excel in environmental management, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, staff engagement, and guest education.

As travelers increasingly seek environmentally responsible destinations, Rock House's certification further strengthens the Turks and Caicos Islands' position as a leader in sustainable, high-end tourism.
