Close to 200 athletes from high and primary schools across the Turks and Caicos Islands have confirmed their participation for the Joint Development Track Meet to take place at the National Stadium on Saturday, December 9.
The event is staged by the Turks and Caicos Amateur Athletics Association in conjunction with Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission.
The event will only cater to track event, according to the organizers, meaning that the meeting will not cater to field events.
So far, seven primary schools, four high schools and two clubs have signaled their intention to take part in the event. According to the organizers of the event, each school and club has an allotment of 25 athletes in total.
