Windward, a luxury real estate developer specializing in innovative waterfront projects, recently hosted the National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC’s) Atlanta Chapter during their visit to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The group toured South Bank Resort, Windward’s residential resort and marina community located in Long Bay, Providenciales.

The NAWIC Atlanta Chapter, dedicated to supporting women in the construction industry, organized the community outreach project as an opportunity for members to connect with industry peers and explore the growing construction and development landscape in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The group, which included Oriel Selver, a Turks and Caicos Islander and member of NAWIC’s Atlanta Chapter, received an exclusive construction site tour of Arc — the final architectural statement of South Bank Resort. Hosted by Windward Director, Kyle Smith and Core Construction’s Francisco Franco, the tour offered an in-depth look at Arc’s development progress and the innovative construction methods that are defining its design.

Following the tour, the group enjoyed food and cocktails at Lua, South Bank Resort’s signature restaurant, providing a relaxed setting for further networking and discussion.

“As a proud Turks and Caicos Islander, it was amazing to see a local development of this magnitude firsthand. Being part of NAWIC’s Atlanta Chapter and experiencing the growth of my home country alongside my colleagues was incredibly rewarding. Our South Bank tour offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the progress of Arc’s development. Witnessing the active construction was both exciting and inspiring – an impressive blend of creativity and craftsmanship,” said Oriel Selver. “We wrapped up the day with delicious freshly baked pizza and refreshing cocktails, making it a perfect combination of work and relaxation in this beautiful setting,” she added.

“It was a pleasure to host such a passionate group of professionals from NAWIC’s Atlanta Chapter. Their enthusiasm for the construction industry is truly inspiring, and we were thrilled to offer them an inside look at the development of Arc, set for completion in late 2026,” said Kyle Smith. “The progress we’re making on South Bank Resort reflects Windward’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation, and we’re excited to share this milestone with such a distinguished group of industry leaders,” he added.

Windward said in a statement that it is committed to shaping the future of the Turks and Caicos Islands with projects focused on innovation and sustainability. In addition to South Bank Resort, the company’s developments include The Peninsula at Emerald Point, Blue Cay Estate, and Nivå at South Bank—each reflecting Windward’s commitment to excellence in design and long-term growth.
