Supreme Court Registrar Labels Sabrina Green’s Op-Ed as ‘Serious and Unfounded Allegations’

Narendra Lalbelharry, Registrar of The Supreme Court in the Turks and Caicos Islands has styled an article penned by social activist Sabrina Green as serious and unfounded allegations.

The bone of contention has to do with an application that Green made to the court and felt that she was slighted. The following is the response from the registrar.

The Registrar of the Supreme Court has been made aware of an article written by Ms. Sabrina Elizabeth Green, Founder of Prolingo Solutions, which has been circulated to the media. That article is grossly misinformed and contains a number of serious allegations which are not factual.

As it relates to Ms. Green, a proposal was received in April 2025, in relation to which Ms. Green was informed that budgetary allocation did not allow for the Judiciary to contract for her services, at this time. She was also informed that, due to the scope being above the limit set by the procurement legislation, a contract for the amounts quoted by her would have had to be put out to an invitation to tender process.

It is notable that a number of service providers, including some well-established companies’ services have expressed an interest in offering interpretation services, including an offer to provide a non-binding demonstration, none of those proposals has resulted in a contract for services.

There is no basis for the very serious and unfounded allegations contained in Ms. Green’s article. Ms. Green is asked to desist from making such baseless allegations; which are damaging to the reputation of the Judiciary and the Registrar.

The Judiciary of the Turks and Caicos Islands adopts the principles of fairness, transparency, and impartiality in all its dealings and is aligned with international best practice systems. With this in mind, any contract entered into for interpretation services, if any, will be guided by the required public procurement processes and will be open to any qualified service provider who would wish to participate in that process.
