Hayley Williams, Gabrielle Martin, and Ezekiel Martin will travel to Ibagué, Colombia, to represent the Turks and Caicos Islands at the PanAm Aquatics Swimming Championships, scheduled for July 8–13, 2026.
Â
The delegation will attend under the Turks and Caicos Islands Swim Federation, with Mr. Lincoln Martin serving as Head Coach and Mr. Bennett Williams, President of the Turks and Caicos Islands Swim Federation, serving as Team Representative. This championship is an important opportunity for our swimmers to compete at a higher level and gain valuable experience against athletes from across the Americas.
Â
The PanAm Aquatics Swimming Championships Ibagué 2026 is a major continental swimming event that brings together top swimmers from North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The event provides a strong platform for athlete development, technical growth, and international exposure. For a small island nation such as the Turks and Caicos Islands, participation in this championship is an important step in building the future of competitive swimming.
Â
Hayley, Gabrielle, and Ezekiel have shown commitment, discipline, and continued improvement through training and competition. Their selection to travel to Colombia reflects their dedication to the sport and the ongoing development work being done through Salt Rakers Aquatic Club and the national federation.
Â
This trip will also support the growth of our coaching and administrative capacity. Mr. Lincoln Martin will guide the athletes during training and competition, while Mr. Bennett Williams will assist with team representation, communication, federation duties, and overall team support. The championship will also provide opportunities to observe international standards in competition management, coaching, and athlete preparation.
Â
Attending the PanAm Aquatics Championship will help our swimmers gain confidence, understand the level required for regional and international success, and return home with greater motivation to continue improving. It will also help inspire other young swimmers in the Turks and Caicos Islands to work hard and aim for future national representation.
Â
We are proud of this delegation and grateful for the opportunity to represent the Turks and Caicos Islands on the international stage. This participation is not only about competing, but also about learning, growing, and helping to strengthen the foundation of swimming in our country.
Â
We wish Hayley Williams, Gabrielle Martin, Ezekiel Martin, Coach Lincoln Martin, and Team Representative Bennett Williams every success as they prepare for Ibagué 2026. Their journey represents progress, teamwork, national pride, and hope for the next generation of swimmers.
