The Turks and Caicos Islands Female Team will look to put on a better showing later today when they take on home team The Bahamas in the Beach Soccer Worldwide tri-nation friendly in Nassau, beginning at 6p.m. local time.
The Turks and Caicos Islands women were turned back 0-8 by Trinidad and Tobago in their opening match on Friday. Today’s game could see the TCI vastly improving their standard of play, having probably got acclimatized to playing conditions there.
Today’s game will be the final match for the TCI team, who are scheduled to return early next week.
Bahamas and Trinidad and Tobago will close out the competition with a face-off on Sunday beginning at 6p.m.
The Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association is using those international friendlies to groom to youthful players to become contenders in the near future.
