TCI Level Beach Soccer Series In Game Two With Canada

It will be all to play for on Sunday in the third and final game of the Beach Soccer International Friendly between hosts Turks and Caicos and Canada at the TCIFA Playing Field.

Makenson Cadet (right) of TCI Beach Soccer, got past his Canadian challenger Marc Jankovic in their second encounter at the TCIFA Field on Sunday. The TCI came away 6-5 winners.

Canada outscored TCI in the first game 7-5 on Friday, but the TCI turned the tables on Saturday, defeating their guests 6 -5, to level to make the final game matter a lot.

Experienced campaigner Billy Forbes netted a brace for the TCI, with Mondelus Madoche, Makenson Cadet and Kirsten Howell scoring a goal apiece. Josh Kiselyov of Canada scored an own goal.

The Canadian scorers were Peter Christidis with a double, and a strike each from Neno Kovacevic, Milos Scepanovic and Lucas Gesuald.

TCI held a 4-2 lead going into the end of the first third. But Canada came roaring back, scoring two goals to TCI one, to end the second third 5-4 in favor of the TCI.

The final third was a ding-dong battle between the teams, as the TCI fought hard to hold the lead, while Canada hustled to cancel the TCI ascendancy.

Canada then drew level, but the TCI pressed, which resulted in Kiselyov, attempting a defensive header, resulted in what turned out to be a spectacular backward header, which gave his goalkeeper no chance.
