Triple Header In Women’s Premier League Friday

Teachers will be banking on Raven Marcellus, who bagged five goals against Cheshire Hall.

A triple header will take place in the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Women’s Premier League on Friday at the Academy Field off Venetian Road, Providenciales, with all six teams in action.

In the curtain raiser beginning at 6p.m., Revolution FC will go up against Flamingo FC. Flamingo FC will want to continue their winning ways, coming off of a 5-2 thrashing of SWA Sharks in their March 18 encounter.

Revolution, who were defeated 1-4 at the hands of Academy Eagles also on March 18, are looking for a rebound. It will, however, be a tough asking for them, since Flamingo appear to be bubbling with confidence.

Anika Harry of Flamingo FC, who scored three goals against SWA Sharks last week, will again be depended on carry home the bacon.

Anika Harry of Flamingo FC, who scored three goals against SWA Sharks last week, will again be depended on again to lead the victory charge.

In the second encounter beginning at 7p.m., Teachers will face-off against Academy Eagles. The Eagles will be looking to continue their winning ways, seeking to steamroll the Teachers in the process.

However, if the Teacher’s last game was anything to go by, the Eagles will have a torrid task achieving that feat.

Teachers enter that game coming off a six-nil blanking of Cheshire Hall FC. They will be looking to chomp on the Eagles on their way to chalking up valuable championship points.

Again, Teachers will be banking on a number of players, including Raven Marcellus, who bagged five goals against Cheshire Hall. Marcellus, in her game against Cheshire Hall, was voted player of the match.

In the feature encounter of the day, Cheshire Hall will do battle against the Sharks. Both teams who came away empty-handed from their last outing, will want to reestablish themselves as title contenders. But they must be impressive about it. Nonetheless, that game should be of interest to football lovers.
