A pivotal moment in the Turks and Caicos Islands' political calendar is set to unfold this week as the National Budget Debate for the 2025/2026 fiscal year officially commences on Tuesday, 20th May 2025.
At the heart of this national event will be The Honourable Charles Washington Misick, OBE, Premier and Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Investment & Trade, who is scheduled to deliver the highly anticipated Budget Address in Parliament.
The Budget Address is expected to outline the government's priorities for the year ahead, spanning key areas such as healthcare, infrastructure, education, tourism, and economic diversification.
It is speculated that the 2025/2026 budget will aim to build on the momentum of previous years, with a focus on sustainability, resilience, and inclusive development.
Tuesday’s address is expected to set the tone for several days of robust parliamentary debate, as members of the House deliberate the allocations, policies, and long-term strategies proposed by the government.
