Bar President Mark Fulford paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam at the Office of the Governor on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.

During the meeting, Mr. Fulford presented Her Excellency with an autographed copy of his book, Law & Constitution: Navigating the Legal Landscape of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and conveyed appreciation for her continued stewardship of the constitutional framework under which the Islands operate.
Discussions centred on constitutional literacy, institutional stability, and the importance of strengthening public confidence in governance within a rapidly developing jurisdiction. Fulford outlined his ongoing educational outreach initiatives, including a national lecture series aimed at deepening understanding of the rule of law and civic responsibility among students, professionals, and members of the wider community.
Both parties reflected on the shared responsibility of constitutional office holders and civil society leaders to preserve institutional integrity and promote a mature democratic culture.
“It was an honour to engage with Her Excellency on matters fundamental to the continued progress of our Islands,” Fulford said. “Strong institutions and informed citizenship remain the foundation of a confident and stable nation.”
The courtesy call forms part of a broader programme of institutional engagement in 2026 aimed at fostering constructive dialogue across the pillars of governance in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
