Highlights Of Governors' Farewell And Appointment Church Service

Her Excellency Anya Williams, the Deputy Governor under departed governor Nigel Dakin was sworn in as interim head of state for the Turks and Caicos Islands until June 30, when the new designated Governor, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratam, arrives.

Williams was given her appointment instruments on Wednesday, during Dakin’s farewell service at the St. Monica’s Anglian Church in Providenciales. The outgoing Governor, as well as interim governor Williams were saluted by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, which included march-pasts.
