Police, Realist Score Clinical Wins In Master’s League Football

Police and Realist scored wins in the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association Masters League played at the TCI Field on Saturday.


In the Curtain raiser, Police FC scored an emphatic 14 to 2 win over Teachers FC, courtesy of five goals by Keven DeBellot , a hattrick from Christopher O’Neil, a brace but Antonio Audin, and one each from Kemoy Piper, Marlon Dawkins, Sabuton John and Carlo Guillaume.


In the feature encounter Realist outscored Beaches 3-1, with goals coming from Romain Small, Fritz-Gerald Norvius and Leo Rosny.


DeBellot opened his team’s account as early as in the second minute when skipped past the Teachers’ defense and found the back of the net. He scored his and the Police’s second goal four minutes later. O’Neil registered his name one the scoresheet in the 11th minute and his team’s third goal, while Audin adding a fourth goal in the 14th minute.


The Police Team

The Police free scoring continued in the 21 minute, when Piper blasted home the fifth. Audin completed his double and the Police’s sixth in the 29th minute with a decent strike.


However, Teachers placed their name on the scoresheet when Tom Greenfield got by the Police defense and placed the ball in the back of the net in minute number 33. But undaunted, the Police pressed for further advantage, and got their seventh when Dawkins slotted past the Teachers’ goalkeeper in the 35th minute. John scored the Police’s eight goal two minutes later, when in the 37th minute he got past the goalkeeper to score.


A minute later, O’Neil scored his second goal and his team’s ninth, courtesy of clever strike in the 38th minute.


The Realist Team

Teachers’ Dane Ritchie got his name on the scoresheet and his team’s second, when he scored in the 41st minute.


O’Neil completed his hattrick and his team’s 10th goal in the 43th minute when he shot into the back of the net. DeBellot also completed his hattrick when he slotted home in the 44th minute to make the score 11-2.


He scored his fourth and his team’s 12th goal four minutes later – in the 48th minute, with scoring a minute later in the 49th. DeBellot then scored his fifth goal and the Police 14th in the 50th minute, to come away with the emphatic win.


In the feature encounter, Romain Small opened his team’s account in the 7th minute, when he found the back of the net. Realist widened the lead in the 12th minute courtesy of the penalty, which Norvius made no mistake in executing.


Beaches’ lone goal came in the 23 minute when Melvin Harris struck. However, Rosny closed out the game restoring his team’s two goal cushion when he struck for the 3-1 win.
