Provo Water Company was pleased to install two drinking water fountains at Clement Howell High School as part of the 15th Annual Drinking Water Week, continuing its commitment to promoting safe drinking water, conservation and healthier choices across the community.

The presentation took place on May 28th and brought together students, school representatives, community partners and government officials to highlight the importance of safe, reliable drinking water and the role young people can play in protecting this valuable resource.
Hon. Kyle Knowles, Minister of Health and Human Services, spoke about the importance of drinking water, staying hydrated and choosing water over sugary drinks. His message supported the wider aim of the initiative, which is to encourage healthier habits while helping students understand the value of water in everyday life.
Graceway Communities also supported the presentation and were on hand to give out refillable water bottles and provide a fresh fruit station for students. Their involvement helped reinforce the message that hydration, healthy choices and reducing single-use plastic all go hand in hand.

Provo Water Company staff spoke with students about where their water comes from, why it is safe to drink and how simple everyday actions can support conservation. These include turning off taps, reporting leaks, choosing refillable bottles and being mindful of water use at school and at home.
The installation of the fountains forms part of Provo Water Company’s continued investment in the community. By helping students access safe drinking water during the school day, the company aims to support both wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
MD Robert Hall commented “Provo Water continues to promote safe drinking water and invest in community initiatives that support education, conservation and healthier choices. These fountains are a practical way to help students stay hydrated while also encouraging less reliance on single-use plastic.”
Provo Water Company extends its thanks to Clement Howell High School, IGA, Hon. Kyle Knowles, the Ministry of Health and Human Services and everyone involved in supporting the initiative.
The company will continue to work with schools and community partners to raise awareness of safe drinking water, conservation and the importance of protecting one of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ most valuable resources.
