TCIFA invites primary schools to register for November football competitions
The Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) is inviting all primary schools to register for its 2026 Inter-Primary Schools Football competitions, scheduled for November, with separate Under-12 boys/co-ed and girls divisions.
Schools are encouraged to enter teams in the U12 Boys/Co-Ed Primary Schools Football Competition and the U12 Girls Primary Schools Football Competition.
The association said schools unable to field a full girls’ team can include their female players in the boys/co-ed competition, with no additional limitations or restrictions on girls’ participation.
Schools that received uniforms for the previous competition are being asked to reuse those kits this year. Uniforms will be provided for teams participating in the U12 girls’ competition.
Registration is being conducted through two separate online links circulated by the TCIFA. The first is for the boys/co-ed competition, while the second is for the girls’ competition.
The invitation follows other efforts by the association to expand opportunities for young female footballers. On June 13, 2026, the TCIFA launched an Under-8 and Under-10 girls’ league with support from the FIFA Women’s Development Programme. The initiative also included a coaching course that trained 18 aspiring coaches to lead football activities in schools and communities.
School football development has also been supported through FIFA’s Football for Schools programme, launched locally in September 2023. According to the TCIFA, the programme reached 15 primary schools and three high schools, providing teacher training, footballs and learning resources combining football activities with social skills development.
The notice for the November competitions did not specify match dates, venues or a registration deadline.
