PUBLIC STATEMENT
FROM: HON. OTIS MORRIS
DATE: 10 APRIL 2026
I wish to address the article published today regarding my removal from the Cabinet and the allegations that have been circulated. I do so out of respect for the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the constituents of Over Back who entrusted me with their representation, and the office I have had the honor to hold.

First and foremost, I emphatically and categorically deny any involvement in the conduct that is being alleged. At no time have I engaged in the behavior described, nor have I participated in any activity that would bring dishonor to my name, my family, or the people who placed their confidence in me.
In this era, where artificial intelligence can generate audio and video that appear convincingly real, it is deeply troubling that unverified material can be used to cast doubt on a person’s integrity, particularly in this case, where politicians are easy targets. I have not been given the benefit of a fair and thorough examination of the facts before action was taken.
I am also aware that there are individuals who may wish to see my reputation damaged and my service to the people cut short. While I will not speculate publicly on motives, I will say this: I have served with honesty, with dedication, and with a genuine commitment to the safety and well‑being of our citizens. Any attempt to tarnish my name is not only an attack on me, but on the values instilled in me by my grandmother, the principles I have lived by throughout my life, and the trust placed in me by the good people of Over Back.
I have always believed that leadership requires accountability, transparency, and fairness. I therefore find it regrettable that such serious allegations, based on material whose authenticity has not been confirmed, have resulted in a decision being made without allowing me to properly defend myself. I maintain that due process is essential, especially when the reputation of an elected representative is at stake.
Let me be clear: I will defend my honor to the fullest extent. I will cooperate fully with any legitimate investigation, and I welcome any independent review that seeks to uncover the truth. I have nothing to hide, and I stand firmly on the strength of my character and the record of my service.
To my constituents, I remain deeply grateful for your continued support. Representing you in the Parliament and Cabinet of our Country has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I will continue to serve you with dignity, humility, and unwavering commitment.
I ask the public to allow the proper processes to take place and to refrain from rushing to judgment based on unverified material. I remain confident that the truth will prevail.
