April Thirumalaiyandi delivered a commanding performance at the prestigious Little Mo Internationals, emerging as one of the tournament’s standout young athletes after competing in three highly competitive divisions.

The international event, staged at the renowned Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego from February 6–11, 2026, brought together top junior players from around the world. Open to athletes ages 8 through 12, with expanded “Big Mo” divisions for older competitors, the tournament featured singles, doubles, and mixed doubles competitions along with a vibrant lineup of activities including an Opening Ceremony, Parade of Nations, player clinics, and celebratory events.
April rose to the occasion on the grand stage.
She captured two championship titles, winning both the Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions, while also battling her way to the Singles final where she secured an impressive runner-up finish
Throughout the week, April demonstrated remarkable consistency, tactical awareness, and resilience. In doubles play, her chemistry with her partner proved decisive, as they executed sharp net play and strategic baseline control to overpower their opponents. In mixed doubles, she once again showcased versatility and composure under pressure, closing out tight points with confidence.
Her singles campaign was equally inspiring. Advancing through a competitive international field, April displayed powerful groundstrokes and strong court coverage to earn a place in the final. Though she narrowly missed the singles title, her runner-up finish capped an extraordinary week in which she reached the podium in every event she entered.
